J.M. Webb is a writer and educator from southern West Virginia. He holds an MFA in creative writing and has served as a West Virginia Creative Network literary arts fellow and as a C-SPAN teacher fellow and Pulitzer Center teacher fellow. In 2026, he was named a Top 50 Educator by The Educator’s Room. His writing has been published by such places as JSTOR Daily, Literary Hub, America, Belt, and Learning for Justice. He is also a frequent contributor to the West Virginia Encyclopedia.
